Q: Who Chooses my Auto body repair shop?
A: You choose our auto body repair shop, not your insurance company. You choose the shop and authorize the repairs. “My insurance agent said I had to go to a particular auto body shop.” By law, insurance companies or agents, cannot tell you where you can go, they can suggest an auto body repair shop, but you have the right to take it to the auto body shop of your choice.
Q: Do you have rental cars available?
A: We have a rental fleet of cars and trucks on site and loaners available to our existing customers.
A car for every budget. Rent by the day, week or month. 5 Points Automotive rental service features a fifty car fleet available seven days a week, 365 days a year. Economy cars, six passenger sedans, mini vans, and twelve passenger vans with TV, VCR, DVD hookups.

Q: Do you guarantee your work?
A: We guarantee our work and your satisfaction. Our repairs, including parts and labor, will be covered by a warranty of a minimum of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first (unless otherwise noted on the repair order).
If for some reason you are not pleased, we will diligently strive to satisfy your concerns and exceed your expectations.
Q: Do you use After Market Parts?
A: Some times we do, not because we want to use them but because your insurance company says we have to. Most of the time After Market parts work just fine and are somewhat cheaper than original parts. But we always try to use original parts when we can. You can choose.
Q: Who pays the deductible and when?
A: The vehicle owner is responsible for the deductible on the auto body repair job. It is due when you pick up your vehicle. Please don’t ask us to hide your auto body repair deductible, because it is illegal. If you hear of an auto body repair shop who is willing to commit fraud, be concerned about the integrity of the organization.
Q: Can I pay with a credit card?
A: We accept – Visa, MC, Discover, Amex, Cash, Check, Finance Plan, Paypal, Referrals, Insurance, Money Orders. We have access to additonal financing options as well. Just ask.
Q: Who pays for my repairs?
A: In many cases, the insurance company will issue you the customer, the original insurance check. In other cases, the insurance company may pay 5 Points Automotive Services directly for the repairs. If the company makes the check payable to only you and/or your spouse, you will be able to sign the original insurance check over to 5 Points Automotive Services at any point during the repair process or at the end of the repairs. Please look closely, since your name may not be the only one on the original insurance check. Your lien or leaseholder may be on the check; it is your responsibility to have the lien or leaseholder endorse this check.
5 Points Automotive Services can assist you with the paperwork that your lien or leaseholder may need. It is our policy that a vehicle may not be released until payment is received by the insurance company or the customer.
Q: What happens if additional damages to my car are found during repair?
A: Typically, the original estimate will only include visual damage. Once we begin auto body repair work, we may find hidden damage. This is normal for most repairs due to the complexity of today’s vehicles. 5 Points Automotive Services will work directly with the insurance company if we find supplemental damage. In most cases, our communication with the insurance company allows us to smoothly repair your vehicle to pre-accident condition. However, there may be times 5 Points Automotive Services may need your assistance with supplemental needs. We will bill additional damage above and beyond the original estimate to the insurance company.
Q: How long will it take to repair my car?
A: 5 Points Automotive Services attempts to forecast a target date on how long your repairs may take. This is not an exact science. A major component in making the forecast is the dollar amount of repairs. We start by using industry standards of one week of repair time for every one-thousand dollars of damage. Then you must factor in the complexity of repairs, unforeseen delays which may occur due to additional supplemental damage, availability of parts, part delays, receipt of incorrect parts, supplemental insurance approvals and current workload of the shop. Other non-controllable outside delays may increase the time it takes to properly repair your vehicle.
Again, 5 Points Automotive Services will give you a target time frame, but we are unable and cannot guarantee a specific delivery date; no one can.
Q: How do I get a rental?
A: If you have rental coverage, most insurance rental policies only allow thirty (30) days or less of rental car coverage. In some cases, the repairs will take longer than your rental coverage allows. Some policies do not entirely cover the daily fee to rent a car. Please be prepared to assume the rental car cost above and beyond your policy time or dollar limits.
